USE CASES
Help your pet sitter care for your pet like they’re known.
Your sitter needs the feeding schedule, medication instructions, and emergency contacts. They also need the things they wouldn’t know to ask.
The noise sends your pet under the bed. The trick to get them to take their medication. The signs that something is off and the sitter should call you.
Cotl makes it easy to create tailored pet sitter instructions that go beyond a texts or a Google Doc.
CAPTURE WHAT MAKES YOUR PET SPECIAL
Build it once. Use it whenever care changes hands.
Keep what matters about your pet in one current profile, then use it to create Care Notes for each person or situation.
You don’t have to start over each time, and you don’t have to share everything with everyone.
Remember the details before someone needs them.
You shouldn’t have to think of every question on your own. Cotl helps you think through what your pet sitter may need to know, keeps those details with your pet’s profile, and lets you create different Care Notes for different people and situations.
Keep that information with your pet’s profile, then use it to prepare Care Notes for each pet sitter or house sit without starting over or revising an existing document.
Give your pet sitter what they need
Share feeding times, walks, bathroom habits, sleep, play, and the routines your pet expects each day.
Include current medications, clear instructions, relevant health information, and the symptoms or changes the sitter should watch for.
Explain your pet’s fears, triggers, boundaries, favorite things, hiding places, and what usually helps them settle down.
Make it easy to find food, supplies, veterinary information, emergency contacts, and instructions for anything unexpected.
Prepare instructions for this sitter and this stay
Keep what you know about your pet in their Cotl profile. When someone is caring for them, create Care Notes with the information that person needs.
You might share one set of Care Notes with an overnight sitter and a shorter version with someone stopping by for an afternoon.
Download the Care Notes as a PDF or share a live link. Your sitter can read them without creating a Cotl account.
Stop rewriting sitter instructions before every trip
You do not have to remember everything the night before you leave.
Start with the information you have now. Add details when you think of them. Update anything that changes, including medications, routines, behavior, or contact information.
When you need a sitter again, you already have a place to start.
