🎄 'Twas the morning of Christmas...
'Twas the morning of Christmas, when all through the flat,
Not a creature was stirring, except for one cat.
Jack’s buddies were snoozing in blankets and beds,
While visions of mischief danced wild in his head.
The stockings were hung in a neat little row,
The ribbon, the lights, a garland, and bow.
Jack flicked a bow with his sly little paws,
Then watched as it fluttered with satisfied awe.
Off to the tree with a bright little gleam,
Where ornaments sparkled like jewels in a dream.
A wiggle, a pounce, then a clumsy attack.
An ornament fell and startled poor Jack!
The crash woke the dogs, who barked a quick bark,
Alarming the humans, who rose with a dart.
Jack, in mid-scamper, knocked into the tree.
It tipped, then went tumbling in pine-scented glee.
Sean was prepared for holiday doom,
Saw glitter and chaos engulfing the room.
Jack, in the middle, was wrapped up in twine,
Beaming as if this disaster were fine.
Rather than scolding, Sean started to grin,
Lifting up Jack and drawing him in.
Dogs gave a nuzzle, the family came near,
And Jack purred contentedly, Christmas was here!
Together they righted the toppled décor.
They restored the sparkle and tidied the floor.
On couches they snuggled in morning’s soft light,
With Jack at the center, all was just right.
See, though Jack caused chaos with mischievous cheer,
Christmas is perfect when kitties are near!
