Create a pet profile and add what matters about your pet's health, daily life, personality, and needs.
Start with the essentials. Add the pet sitter instructions, records, and documents you already have. Then include the routines, preferences, relationships, and quirks that make your pet, well… them.

Build a fuller picture over time
You don’t need to remember or document everything at once.
Cotl guides you through the different parts of your pet's care and helps you think about details another person might not know to ask about. Add information as you remember it and update it as your pet's health, routines, and preferences change.
The result is a pet profile that reflects your pet as they actually are - not simply a collection of records.

When someone else will be caring for your pet, tell us who they are and what kind of care they will be providing.
Cotl walks you through the information that may matter, points out anything that’s missing or may need updating, and lets you choose what to include.
When you share, Cotl creates Care Notes: a clear guide prepared for that person and situation.

Share as a PDF or with live links
Download your pet’s Care Notes as a PDF or send them directly through a live link.
A PDF gives the recipient a fixed copy they can save or print. A live link can reflect changes to the information you shared. You can make the link available for selected dates or turn it off when it is no longer needed.

Yes. Choose the sitter and situation, review the information that may matter, address anything missing or outdated, and decide what to share. Cotl uses those choices to create tailored Care Notes for your sitter. Choose to share as much or as little from your Pet Profile as you wish.

Yes. Cotl is designed to bring existing records and notes together. You can upload records and documents and keep them with your pet's information in Cotl. No need to start from scratch!

No. You can start from scratch if you prefer. Existing pet records and notes simply give you a faster starting point if you already have them.

No. They can open the custom live link you send and view the Care Notes without creating an account. You can also send them a PDF directly.

No. Your pet’s Cotl Profile is the full source of information you keep in Cotl. Care Notes are the selected information you share with a particular person for a specific situation.

A PDF is a fixed copy, a snapshot of your current pet information. Live links automatically update as you modify your pet’s information. You can create unique links for different people, leave a link on (so a trusted contact has your pet’s info, just in case), or customize it to work only during selected dates. You can also turned off a link any time when access is no longer needed.

The live Care Notes automatically reflect the information you keep current in Cotl.

Yes. Live links can be turned off any time, and they can also be limited to a specific time period when you only want them available for a particular sit or trip.
